- The IPMS San Diego met on November 19 at the Veterans Memorial Center & Museum in San Diego. Two slide presentations were given, one by Captain Richard Dann on the Navy Centennial aircraft paint schemes, and one by Dan King on the San Diego Model Car Club vs Las Vegas Model Car Club contest, a first in inter-club cyber contests. The club held its annual officer elections and its annual kit auction. Members brought a few models, in either finished or work-in-progress stage.

Skip Sample, of the San Diego Model Car Club, offered his club to co-host the 2011 Model Expo with IPMS-SD, in a bid to attract a large group of car model builders. Dan King gets his presentation under way... ... while Captain Dann gets ready for his. 
Gary Williams brought his work-in-progress Tumpeter 1/32 scale FA-18 F, showing off a lot of details. A beautifully finished B-F109 
craig Burke brought three more-or-less "what if" paint scheme versions of a heinkel HE-100.

The annual officer elections were held. The only change is Rex McCoy (left) taking over the role of Vice-President from Mike O'Leary (right).The evening ended with the annual kit auction, led by auction master Joel. As usual, Lenny H walked away with the bulk of the kits. Thanks to all who participated in this meeting and made it a very interesting event!
