APRIL 2010 MEETING PHOTOS

The IPMS San Diego met on April 30 at the Veterans Memorial Center & Museum in San Diego. There was an impressive number of models, either entered in the Chapter's Quarterly Contest or brought just to show.

Attendance was great, with the addition of a few new people.
Conor O'Leary (left) and Lenny Hazelett were the judges of the contest. David Weeks (orange shirt) and Manny Gutsche (not pictured) conducted a judging demo.
A nice collection of aircraft was brought to show. Jose Gonzales brought eleven 1/72 prop planes, a 1/32 Zero and a 1/48 Auba. Craig Burke's "USS Enterprise" shows progress... ...so does Tony Bunch's Takanogura.
David Weeks brought the work-in-progress engine module of his Saturn 1B and gave a detailed insight of what it takes to complete such a scratch-built project . The close up photos show how much detail is applied to the launcher's skin.
Richard Abraham's E2-C is at the decal-applying stage. Jerry Jackson's 1/43 Benetton Formula 1 has its basic paint in place. Tim Latham's work-in-progress "Who Dares Wins" features a Tamiya 1/35 Schwimmwagen and Dragon figures.
