OCTOBER 2011 MEETING REPORT

The IPMS San Diego met on October 28 at the Veterans Memorial Center & Museum in San Diego for its fourth Quarterly Contest of the year.

Treasurer Gary Williams gave his financial report. Secretary Joel Hendrix initiated the Club Officers nominations in preparation for the
yearly elections due to take place during the November meeting. However, it was an acclamation vote as only one candidate per position
was nominated. While Gary and Joel keep their roles, Vice President Rex McCoy will replace Tony Bunch as President, David Nielsen will
be Vice President, Jerry Jackson will be Lead Judge and Rich Durham will keep his Contest Coordinator duties.

Coronado Library's Candice Hooper announced the date of the last Navy Centennial Celebration exhibit, covering the 1980 to
present day
period.

Daniel Covey, Jose Gonzalez and Mike O'Leary reminded everyone present of the up-coming 2011 Winterfest that will take place on
December 11 at the Veteran Museum and Memorial.

For the third month in a row we welcomed a new member: John Haskell, Printing Coordinator at the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station - and
winner of the Miramar Air Show model contest that took place earlier this month!

Two members brought their OrangeCon-winning models along with their related trophies.
