MAY 2011 MEETING PHOTOS

The IPMS San Diego met on May 27 at the Veterans Memorial Center & Museum in San Diego. This month meeting was
focused on getting ready for
the up-coming Model Expo as well as building models for the Coronado Public Library's
Naval Aviation Centennial exhibit.

President Tony Bunch opens the meeting while
Secretary Joel Hendricks prepares to take notes.
Treasurer Gary Williams reports the revenue from
the sale of trophy packages for the up-coming
June Model Expo.
Head Judge Rich Durham goes through the
to-do check list in preparation for the June Model
Expo.
Captain Richard Dann gives an update of the
Naval Aviation Centennial events throughout the
country.
Members of the San Diego Model Car Club Timi
and Jesse came to contribute to the Model Expo
preparation.
Mark Knowlton showed some very extensive decal
sheets that should make painting the 1/4100
Battlestar Galactica model much easier.
Mike O'Leary has started work on a 1/48 Monogram F9F Panther that will be going into the Coronado Public Library exhibit later in the year.

Craig Burke brought three "What If" Japanese aircraft, including a twin-engined Zero.
Rex McCoy brought a Panzer IV, complete with its crew.
Ethan Idenmill has started construction of a Star Blazers Bandai Space Cruiser Yamato Dessler's Tri-deck Carrier No.18 Model

Tony Bunch now has his 1/72 scale Curtiss SOC Seagull seaplane on its catapult.
Gary Williams is working on a conversion of a Monogram B25 into a PB4Y-2 Privateer, using a resin/vacuum-formed kit.
David Nielsen brought his well-advanced L'Arsenal 1/700 USS Gearing.
A very eye-catching model, with a great amount of detail.
