MARCH 2011 MEETING PHOTOS

The IPMS San Diego met on March 25 at the Veterans Memorial Center & Museum in San Diego. As an ever
growing trend, members brought their latest models for show 'n tell. And in preparation
for the Naval
Aviation Centennial exhibit at the Coronado Public Library there's an increasing number of US Navy ships
and aircraft.

Rex McCoy shows the kit that will be offered at
the July Make 'n Take that will take place at the
Coronado Public Library.

Ethan Idenmill brought his finished Revell Cylon Raider...
... complete with thruster lights!
Bob Ekstrom showed his finished Eduards 1/48
Grumman F6-F Hellcat, sitting on a WWII aircraft
carrier elevator platform.
Rich Durham brought two 1/48 scale Tamiya models, an M-10 Tank Destroyer and a Crusader II Cruiser
Tank.
Rex McCoy modified a 1/350 Victory Ship into a 1960 LPA USS Montrose.
Tony Bunch is now working on the catapult for his 1/72 scale Curtiss SOC Seagull seaplane.
Craig Burke brought two 1/72 Airfix aircraft models, a Aichi D3A1 "Val" and a Yokosuka D4Y2 Model 12

Manny Gutsche is building a F9F-2 Panther of
VF-51 as based at North Island in 1951.
Fred Fimbres brought three Fantasy/Sci-Fi models:
the Rat Fink...
... Star Wars AT-AT and the Mummy
Robert James brought two 1/20 figures from the Nausicaa series, ELF battle suit and Nausicaa riding Kai
the horseclaw.
Jas Peeters brought some very detailed metal jet exhausts for his 1/32 SU-27.
Scott Langille is working on a 1/25 Freightliner day cab with sratch-built working suspension.
Mike O'Leary brought a Wingnut Wings 1/32 SE-5a
"Hisso" kit.
Dany Galgani started work on a Trumpeter 1/32
scale SDB-5 Dauntless, with Eduards "Big Ed" PE
kit.
