APRIL 2011 MEETING PHOTOS

The IPMS San Diego met on April 29 at the Veterans Memorial Center & Museum in San Diego. In preparation for the Naval Aviation Centennial exhibit at the Coronado Public Library we see an increasing number of US Navy ships and aircraft. This was also our second quarterly contest of the year.

Craig Burke brought two versions of a 1/72 He-162 Salamander, a conventional one and a highly modified
dual-boomed, dual counter-rotating turbo prop version.
Craig's hypothetical version of the He-162
Salamander, a He-1062 Molch (Newt) made from
two Lindberg He-162 kits and a variety of parts
from other kits.
FJ-4B Fury
Eugene Watts is building a 1/700 Udaloy Class
Soviet Missile Destroyer.
Also from Eugene, a 1/350 Dragon USS Preble built
into the USS Kidd.
Mike Potter brought his Shywave 1/700 USS Flint.
Ethan Idenmill brought his 1/700 Aoshima
Japanese Destroyer Hatsuharu.
In preparation for the up-coming Model Expo, David Weeks and Manny Gutshe gave a judging demo, using a
collection of models bought by several members.
