The IPMS San Diego and the San Diego Model Car Club will host the Eighth Annual Model Expo in conjunction with the San Diego Air & Space Museum's Model Swap Meet. The event will feature the Eighth Region's Regional Contest and a "In the Movies" special theme.

The 7th Annual San Diego Model Expo & Swap Meet, this year again co-hosted by the IPMS San Diego and the San Diego Model Car Club, was held on June 2, 2012 at the San Diego Aerospace Museum Annex, at the Gillespie Field in El Cajon.
